Here’s a few impromptu photos I took earlier today before heading to my business meeting. I washed my hair using the Satinique Color Repair system for the first time after adding highlights to my hair. So it’s been a couple of months and I’m extremely satisfied with how well the color is holding up. Of course, my strands are just now starting to revert back to its natural color and my baby hairs are getting slightly fuzzier but it’s still very strong and healthy-looking. Let me tell you, it’s so well worth the coloring process when you know there’s products out there that will do what it says – reduce fading, revive damage, and protect color through ample washes.
How I’m caring for this style:
- Spritzing my hair daily with homemade spritz using my fave conditioner, plus water and olive oil.
- Massaging Styling Cream through my curls to maintain definition and a wee bit Texturing Matte Wax if I want extra hold.
- About once a week, I co-wash and style with my favorite Satinique products. Afterwards, I spritz and seal with the Shine Spray before air drying. The Shine Spray contains argon oil which works miracles with dry ends.
- On random mornings I like to smooth my fluffy edges down with some Straightening Balm.
- Twisting in the evenings my hair into multiple sections and wrap with a satin scarf before heading off to sleep.
So basically, apart from the obvious shrinkage I experience smack in the middle of my work day, I’m quite happy with this style. It’s actually a pleasant and smooth transition for me 🙂
