So today was just…one of those days!! You know when you wake up late and it seems like you never catch up with time; and your entire schedule remains off by one measly hour because you chose to stay in bed for “just five more minutes.” The children were late for school, the client meeting was pushed to the afternoon, lunch with my business partners had to be rescheduled and all the while I had yet to finish putting on my face! To all my busy professional moms, can I get a high-five? That moment when you’re at the stoplight with the visor down, the mirror is up, and you’re thinking, “If I can just apply one coat of mascara…” Fast forward — the light changed too soon, you got one eye done, too much blush, and not nearly enough lip gloss.

Do you remember that commercial from the ’80’s — Calgon, take me away! Well that was me on one stressful and unproductive Wednesday. That missing hour didn’t catch up with me until later that evening when it was time for my business meeting. The mascara had been washed away by unwanted tears and I barely had an ounce of inspiration to refresh my curls. By this time, I was really in need of being taken away. I needed pampering! Well lo and behold, there was a shoulder to lean on and an empty make-up chair with my name on it. I went from ghastly to glamorous in seconds! [Okay, so maybe it was just a few minutes longer], but thanks to my dear friend, Sondra Lewis, Beauty Expert at SondraLewisBeauty I was pampered with her artistic talents and transformed into an Artistry display.
