Have you ever heard someone say that our skin is a blank canvas? Well that’s simply because everything starts from there. Over the years, I’ve had many women ask me about my skin routine and what products I use. Well, believe it or not, I really don’t have any complicated techniques, I’ve pretty much just always kept my routine very simple. Not to mention, I’ve remained committed to the same brand for more than ten years: Artistry®

I’ve found that when I tell people this, they seem amazed and ponder why I haven’t migrated over to other brands in the past ten years. Answer: it works for me. Why fix something that isn’t broken. Of course, I’m a woman, so naturally I’ve experimented with other things like hair or makeup, but I take my skin VERY seriously. What’s so awesome about Artistry is their passion for empowering women – there’s something unique for every need, every individual; they are so committed to developing what’s next in beauty through science, nature, and art which is what made me fall in love many years ago.  They’ve added to their spectrum from daily systems to age-defying treatments so people with different skincare needs are catered for. I’ve also managed to remain consistent with my spectrum in my basic routine because I strongly believe they work very well together.

My routine:

1. I wash my face with Artistry’s Advanced Creamy Foam Cleanser. The formula is rich with a very generous lather allowing it to thoroughly clean off make-up and other impurities. But at the same time, it’s gentle so it’s not too harsh for daily use.
2. I tone my face with Artistry’s Advanced Softening Toner. Now this is the same as using an oil to seal in moisture on your hair. This formula literally acts as sealant for the skin’s own moisture. It also preps my skin for any other treatments I choose to add on my face. I sometimes remove my make up with the Eye and Lip Remover. It’s also so lightweight and milky, it doesn’t leave my skin dry.
3. I moisturize with the Artistry Youth Xtend Protecting Lotion during the summer or when I’m in Florida. It protects against UV damage and all of the botanicals (especially acerola cherry) shields from environmental stresses. It keeps my face moisturized without a greasy look or feel yet gives me a healthy glow. In the winter, I usually swap my moisturizer for something thicker and more dramatically hydrating – the Artistry Youth Xtend Enriching Cream. My skin tends to get drier here in the Metropolitan area so I require something much more moisturizing without the added shine.

Three steps…that’s it! This is my routine everyday—twice a day. As for my supplementary routine…I make sure to drink plenty of water every day. And I completely vow by a daily 30-minute nap during the afternoon (even though my husband and children tend to disagree) because beauty sleep is REAL ladies! Now that’s really it. These are my favorite products I love most because they’re so gentle and more importantly they do what they’re supposed to do. The Artistry Makeup Remover is the best I’ve personally ever used and has constantly removed my daily combo of mascara/liner/shadow ever so gently without irritating my extremely sensitive eyes.

Moving from the Sunshine State to the blistering cold of the DMV has resulted in my having to adjust things to help my skin deal with various climate and weather differences. I’m grateful that Artistry is a brand I that caters to every budget so I’ve always been able to commit to what works for me as I’ve progressed from student to wife to mom to business owner.
